Nature in Art

The policy of the Nature in Art Education service is to encourage young people, as well as adults, to learn through practical activities and new experiences, and to have a really enjoyable time.

Schools:

Schools are warmly encouraged to make full use of the exhibits in the museum collection and the facilities in the purpose-built education centre set within the 6 acre grounds.

The Nature in Art education programme was specially commended in the 'Best Education Programme in a Museum' category of the National Heritage Museum of the Year Awards.  It has also twice been featured in the Times Educational Supplement. More...

Adult Classes:

We run a wide range of adult classes throughout the year to cater for all abilities from beginners to advanced.  They also give you the chance to try something new.

Children’s Activity Days:

During the school holidays we run activity days so that children can explore the world of art.  It’s fun for all the family as accompanying adults get to view the museum for free if a child is booked in for the day.
